ARMADILLO™ Jacking Pads positioning. Once the ground has been improved (Generally a 300/400 mm backfill is sufficient to achieve a satisfactory bearing capacity), the ARMADILLO™ Jacking Pads can be placed at the perimeter of the foundation: they will be the supports for the jacks in case your dwelling needs to be relevelled. The ARMADILLO™ Jacking Pads are made with a material more durable than concrete, they are designed to be easily handled, quickly installed.

Boxing. Conventional formwork can be used to give the right shape to your foundation.

Damp protection. Nothing new again, the builder installs a standard Damp Proof Membrane to protect your dwelling from moisture.

ARMADILLO™ Pods 500 installing. Here your ARMADILLO™ is unrivalled. The builder does not need to measure the distance between the pods because they can be placed side by side to generate the pattern of interweaving ribs and he does not need to build stiffened members inside the slab because the shape of the patented design to the ARMADILLO™ Pods 500 pods allows to diffuse the stresses from the topping slab to the entire foundation structure. The pods are interlocked with the ARMADILLO™ Keystones, another masterpiece of ingenuity.

Reinforcing. The ARMADILLO™ keystones, equipped with effective built-in slots and retainers, assist the builder in positioning and lock the reinforcing, speeding up the construction process, saving labour costs and increasing productivity.

Pouring. The ARMADILLO™ 500 pods will not move or float during the pouring of the concrete. The jacking cavities will reveal once the boxing is removed.
